What comes to your mind when you hear the word Malta? Most of my friends would think of the knights, the Mediterranean Sea and a lovely beach holiday. Very true, Malta is all of these: the knights of St. John found shelter on the island and ruled it for several hundred years; the tiny nation of 400,000 inhabitants occupies even tinier fortress island in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea and yes, Malta is a famous travel destination. Still, there is so much more to be discovered about Ma

Earlier this year, in June to be exact, the Independent Games Festival opened its doors for the 2009 IGF competition. Now, the competition doesn’t actually start until March of next year but some studios are already starting to show off the games they’ve submitted to the contest. One of those indie companies is D-pad Studio, who have a couple of projects going right now. One of them is Owlboy, a beautiful looking 2d platform game. Not much else is known about the game, except that they’re hopi

Post from: L33tz0ne As we all know, most of the big vendors such as Intel, Nvidia, MSI and the likes are getting their hardware made from China. And in a bid to be more “Technologically Independent”, the chinese government has set a goal build a Processor on its own, called the Godson-3. \n The Godson-3 is a third generation, quad-core design — the project was started in 2001 — and the goal is to use it to bring PCs to most Chinese citizens by 2010. Importantly, the 65nm Godson-3 will

Gates / Seinfeld Microsoft Ad is Money Out the Windows Brad Brooks, the corporate vice president for Windows consumer product marketing at Microsoft, said this 90-second ad was merely a "teaser." I think it was just a huge waste of money. Ironically, the world's biggest philanthropist, who meticulously contributes billions to global development and health initiatives through his Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, could have put his enormously valuable time (and Microsoft's big bucks) to wa

The Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld ad from Microsoft is just terrible. I've read that it was developed "to make people talk" and start the conversation. Well, people are talking and I think the word of the day is confusion and a yawn. This is such a typical Microsoft-like response to Apple's innovation. Two years late and not nearly as good.

Posted at 11:21 | Category: Windows
