大食漢Chrome Googleの新しいWebブラウザ（のベータ版）が公開され、話題になっている。早速インストールしてここ数日使っているが確かに速い。 当初はJavaが動かなくて困っていたが、これはJava 6 Update 10 RCをインストールしたら解決。Javaの表示も速い。 そうこうしているうちに知人から「Chromeはメモリ大食い」という情報が入ってきた。手元で調べてみたら、 Firefox: 8ウィンドウ、72タブ: 315MB Chrome: 2ウィンドウ、6タブ: 191MB となっており、確かに、Chromeの方が相対的にメモリをたくさん使っている。特徴的なのはFirefoxは1プロセスだけど、Chromeは10プロセスになってる（191MBは8プロセスの合計）。 まぁ、まだベータ版なので今後に期待ということか。 Posted at 11:21 | Category: Windows
